The Yamaha SFZ MS-9414BU 14X12″ Marching Snare Drum features a Blue Forest finish and standard Silver anodized hardware finish. The newly redesigned 9400 series SFZ marching snare drums provide improved tone, reduced weight, and improved performance and functionality.
9400 SFZ Marching Snare Features
Reduced Weight: By removing select material from the top and bottom high-tension hoops and suspension rings, the weight on these drums is reduced without compromising durability or sound. The lighter SFZ minimizes stress on players throughout the most competitive performances.
Improved Snare Response and Stainer Design: Additional air holes increase articulation and snare response without reducing volume and improves the player’s performance experience. The all new Strainer design features a knob shape allows quick fine-tuning and consistent snare tension while adjusting.
Hardware Improvements: A larger radius top hoop enhances rimshot tone and reduces stick damage and a aluminum insert ring is also on the bottom of the shell which helps maintain a stable pitch. The new streamline tube lugs are made of lightweight aluminum, creating a modern look and improves durability. The revised gravity guard prevents the tension rod from slipping.
